Mike set us up with a great little company in Tennessee. They were warm, professional and easy to work with. The first time they processed our payroll - everything was perfect. We were just pleased as punch. But the second time they processed our payroll they pulled the funds from the old account instead of the new account. Ouch! Of course it was several days before we received the "bounced checks" notice. Plus -our accounts were tied to personal accounts -so ALL accounts were bouncing to the moon and there were big fees. To make matters worse the "old bank" (whom we had been with for 32 years) now KNEW we were leaving them. Just hard stuff when you do business in a small town. Well, here comes the good part.
I made one call to the processing company and before I hung up the owners were on the phone - apologized, owned up to the mistake and promised to pay the fees. We paid no fees. Yes, I was out some time and ate at least two Hershey's Dark to get me through it. But I quickly discovered I had found an honest company I could stick with.

I must say that when we first started with Employee Leasing it was for the sole purpose of acquiring work comp insurance. In our field of work it had become extremely difficult if not impossible to get work comp, therefore the savings were obviously great. At first I felt if not for that issue it was crazy to even consider a payroll leasing company due to the fact that we are a small company with not many employees and doing payroll each week was no big deal. Now I feel differently! Yes, I could easily do payroll myself without it being much of an issue but it sure is nice not having to! We no longer have to pay our accountant to take care of our quarterly tax reports and I no longer have to get to the bank in time each week to make the payroll tax deposit. Knowing someone else is responsible for all of this is wonderful. With not being an accountant it is easy to feel a little unsure at times that you are doing everything correctly so having Employee Leasing handle all of that for us has relieved that burden. I always feel they are very competent in what they do so payroll is now stress free.
We have never had a problem with our service. I love that we have had the same payroll rep since we started and anytime I have a question she is easy to contact and answers my questions immediately. Our sales rep, Mike Burgelin, keeps in touch with us to remind us he is there if needed but is not overbearing. I can honestly say that when he does get in touch with us I never feel like he is just another annoying sales rep that is too pushy. We actually enjoy hearing from him!
So all in all I first questioned starting with a payroll company but now feel I would hate to not have them there for me. We have definitely become a loyal customer!
